MEDICAL ASSISTANCE IN KYRGYZSTAN

All Americans traveling to Kyrgyz Republic should ensure that their diphtheria immunization is current. If you plan to travel extensively in Kyrgyz Republic you should receive a typhoid immunization. The best way to avoid cholera, as well as several other diseases, is to drink only bottled water bought from a reputable store or well-boiled water. Foods of doubtful quality should be cooked.

The U.S. Embassy maintains the following list of local doctors and clinics, which have agreed to provide medical assistance to American citizens in Kyrgyzstan.  The American Embassy assumes no responsibility for the professional ability or reputation of the persons or medical facilities whose name appear on the following list.

1. Bishkek Ambulance:
During a medical emergency, American citizens can call the Bishkek City Ambulance by dialing telephone: 103.
