Warden Message- May 27, 2006

This warden message is being issued to inform U.S. citizens that there is a large demonstration planned for Saturday, May 27 2006 in the center of Bishkek around Ala-too Square.  Although the demonstrations are intended to be peaceful, American citizens are urged to avoid the areas of any demonstrations if possible, and to exercise caution if within the vicinity of any demonstrations.  The Embassy reminds that demonstrations intended to be peaceful can quickly turn confrontational and possibly escalate into violence.
