Information Resource Center
American Information Resource Center (IRC) is a part of the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic. IRC's mission is to support the U.S. foreign policy and public diplomacy by providing comprehensive information on different aspect of the United States to wide audience. The center serves the Embassy staff, U.S. Government sponsored program alumni, Government officials, NGOs, university faculty, students and many others; works with local library community, information centers, educational institutions and implements information outreach programs.
We are pleased to inform you that IRC resources (general collection of books on U.S. history, geography, economy, literature, education, etc; reference materials: encyclopedias, maps, dictionaries; collection of CD-ROMs, electronic databases, video collection and periodicals) are open now for public access at the new American Center (America Borboru), Library for Children and Youth (Bayalinov).
The IRC and the Center staff provide assistance on the database and Internet search; conduct lectures, seminars and trainings for libraries, NGOs and educational institutions.
