Warden Message- April 25, 2006

This warden message is being issued to inform U.S. citizens that there is a possibility of large demonstrations throughout Kyrgyzstan in the upcoming days.  Demonstrations are planned for the 25th and 26th in Osh, and nationwide on Saturday, April 29th.  Although the demonstrations are intended to be peaceful, there are reports that groups espousing violence may also participate in some of the demonstrations.   American citizens are therefore urged to avoid the areas of demonstrations if possible, and to exercise caution if within the vicinity of any demonstrations.

U.S. citizens are urged to register and update their contact information through the State Department's travel registration website, https://travelregistration.state.gov/ibrs/.
