Naryn Forum Participants

July 8, 2006 Discussion Forum in Naryn

Institute for Regional Studies held its regular discussion forum in Naryn.  A group of 20 people, 7 of which are alumni of International Visitors program, discussed the topic of “Violence in society: violence in family, child labor and human trafficking”.  Participants included various representatives of NGOs, local government, schools etc. (more)

Institute of Regional Studies held a discussion forum on the topic of ‘Youth of Kyrgyzstan: problems and opportunities’.  Osh city, where the forum was conducted, welcomed around 28 participants of which 6 were International Visitors Program (IV) alumni. (more)

Institute for Regional Studies gathered over 45 participants to discuss different forms of government before the 2006 Constitutional Reform. These forums are funded by the Democracy Outreach: ECA alumni grants program of the U.S. Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic. (more)

ECA Alumni Reunion held on March 15, 2008 at Hyatt Regency Hotel in Bishkek gathered together about 200 alumni from over Kyrgyzstan.  Reunion agenda included meeting with Ambassador Yovanovitch, photo exhibit, presentation of successful projects, and discussion of the Priority Plan for 2009.
